Two New Lenox addresses lead the list

Both of the top two movers for New Lenox list a Maps address in 60451. Fly Guy Moving ranks #1 from 1333 S Schoolhouse Rd, with 5 stars from 72 Google reviews and an overall of 9.8: care 10, on-time 10, friendly 10, easy-to-reach 10 and quote-matched 9. Save Your Back Moving ranks #2 from 1200 S Cedar Rd, with 4.6 from 227 and an overall of 8.6.

Save Your Back held the award before this update and moved to #2 with its 8.6 unchanged. Its care bar scored 5, and its review histogram shows 21 one-star reviews out of 227, so the guide advises reading recent reviews before booking. Fly Guy's 72-review sample is smaller, which is worth weighing against its higher bars.

Licences behind the New Lenox picks

Fly Guy operates as FLY GUY TRANSFER INC, with a SAFER physical address in Minooka, USDOT 3507270, MC-1721483 and ILCC 225813. Save Your Back operates as SAVE YOUR BACK MOVING LLC, with a SAFER address in Geneva, USDOT 3199593 and ILCC 233652. When the legal name on a quote differs from the brand name, check that the ILCC and SAFER records match that legal name. A USDOT number on its own is not an Illinois licence.

Ranks three to six come from metro pins outside New Lenox: Two Men and a Truck (9.2, Glendale Heights), New City Moving (9.0, Chicago), Falcon Moving (8.8, Elgin) and M.K. Movers (8.8, Batavia). Each card discloses that it is not New Lenox-local. Good Move Movers, Alliance Moving & Storage, The Professionals and Boyer-Rosene also passed the gate but sit below the six.

What the New Lenox cost band covers

New Lenox has 28,006 residents and one ZIP code. Local moves here fall between $675 and $2,300 in this guide, with $1,485 as the average. Long-distance moves fall between $2,350 and $6,900, with $4,625 as the average. No ranked company publishes an hourly rate, so compare written estimates built on identical details: addresses, inventory, stairs, parking and date, for a home in Cherry Hill, Palmer Ranch or anywhere else in the village. If the move leaves Illinois, re-check the carrier's household-goods authority on SAFER and ask for Protect Your Move.

How we ranked these movers

Licenses are a pass/fail gate. Customer experience is the score: five bars for care, on time, quote matched, friendly, and easy to reach. The award follows this ranking and cannot be bought.

The award follows the New Lenox IL ranking. Gate = printed Illinois Commerce Commission Household Goods License (ILCC) on the same legal name plus SAFER ACTIVE HHG (AUTHORIZED FOR Motor Carrier of Household Goods when interstate). Fly Guy Moving is our pick / award winner with overall 9.8 on care, on-time, quote-matched, friendly, and easy-to-reach at the New Lenox Schoolhouse Rd pin (Maps 5 from 72; ILCC 225813; USDOT 3507270). Maps overall. Then Save Your Back Moving 8.6 (Cedar Rd), Two Men and a Truck 9.2 (metro), New City Moving 9.0 (metro), Falcon Moving 8.8 (metro), M.K. Movers 8.8 (metro). Companies cannot buy it. Ask to see ILCC.

Best Movers in New Lenox, IL FAQs

Who is the best mover in New Lenox, IL?
Fly Guy Moving (FLY GUY TRANSFER INC) is our pick: 5 from 72 Google reviews at 1333 S Schoolhouse Rd, New Lenox, IL 60451, overall 9.8/10, USDOT 3507270, ILCC 225813. Compare a written estimate with Save Your Back Moving (8.6 from 227) and Two Men and a Truck (9.2 metro). Maps overall on Fly Guy stays 9.8.
How does Moving Company HQ rank New Lenox IL movers?
Gate = Illinois Commerce Commission Household Goods License (ILCC) + SAFER ACTIVE HHG. Fly Guy Moving is our pick with overall 9.8 (Maps bars) at the New Lenox Schoolhouse Rd pin. Then Save Your Back 8.6 (Cedar Rd), Two Men and a Truck 9.2 (metro), New City Moving 9.0 (metro), Falcon Moving 8.8 (metro), M.K. Movers 8.8 (metro). Companies cannot buy a rank.
Do I need an Illinois ICC Household Goods License to hire a local mover?
For Illinois in-state for-hire household-goods work, ask to see a printed Illinois Commerce Commission Household Goods License (ILCC / ILL.C.C.) and match the legal name on SAFER. USDOT alone is not the ILCC. Interstate jobs also need FMCSA SAFER ACTIVE with Motor Carrier of Household Goods OA and Protect Your Move. Complaints: ICC.Moving@illinois.gov · 217-782-6448.
Why are some ranked movers listed outside the city?
After our pick #1 and the Google Maps listing is in the city #2 local, this guide may fill remaining slots from strong Chicagoland SAFER+ILCC passers even when the Maps pin is metro / not New Lenox-local. Those cards disclose metro pin. Prefer a mover with a pin in the city when locality matters.
What about Bernard, Midway, Ampol, or other names on the roster?
Bernard Movers and Midway Moving & Storage scored but sit below / outside the six for New Lenox (often Chicago pins outside the city). Gate fails (brokers, property-except-HHG, wrong USDOT) and unknowns (no ILCC) are also-compared only. Ampol (Arlington Heights) prints an ILCC but had no matching ACTIVE USDOT in this guide — cannot pass without USDOT. Re-check SAFER and ICC before hiring.
